The Z4 M Coupé is one of those cars BMW simply could not build in quite the same way today. A compact two-seat coupé, rear-wheel drive, hydraulic steering, a proper six-speed manual gearbox and one of the greatest naturally aspirated engines ever fitted to a road car.
Finished in Sapphire Black with a striking Imola Red Nappa leather interior, this example has covered 73,800 miles and sits on a set of freshly refurbished BBS alloy wheels.

WHAT MAKES THE Z4 M SO SPECIAL?
The Z4 M took the basic Z4 Coupé formula and handed it over to BMW’s M division.
Underneath its long bonnet sits the legendary 3,246cc S54 straight-six, closely related to the engine found in the E46 M3. It produces its power without turbochargers, delivering the sort of throttle response, induction noise and high-revving character that modern performance cars struggle to replicate.
The fixed-roof Coupé body is exceptionally stiff, while BMW also equipped the Z4 M with conventional hydraulic power steering rather than the electrically assisted system used in the regular Z4. The result is a much more direct and connected driving experience.
It also received braking and suspension technology inspired by the M3 CSL, including large drilled and ventilated brake discs, high-performance callipers and lightweight aluminium suspension components.
ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
BMW’s Variable M Differential can progressively transfer power across the rear axle to whichever wheel has the most grip, helping the Z4 M put its performance down when accelerating out of a corner.

The Coupé’s fixed roof made it considerably stiffer than the already strong Roadster platform, giving the M division an excellent base from which to create a focused road car.
